Leading a broad multi-disciplinary team and working closely with Parish and District Councillors, Luken Beck secured reserve matters consent for 525 dwellings on behalf of CALA Homes and Bellway Homes.

Through agreement with senior officers Luken Beck were able to secure permission for a Design Code during the reserved matters application, despite this being required in advance, and to also gain consent for a S73 application to amend parameter plans to achieve a higher quality residential layout.

The application was approved unanimously by the Arun DC Planning Committee and heralded by the District Landscape Officer as an exemplar approach for other major schemes to follow.  Luken Beck were retained to discharge pre-commencement planning conditions, resulting in innovative approaches to assisting the Council with limited officer resources to achieve timely consents.
